Hidde Van Duym. Artist — work consists of watercolors assembled in three-dimensional box constructions Roby-King Galleries website). Formerly, worked with Sarah Jobs and Associates, Seattle-based organizational and leadership consultants (1995-2001). Developed the City of Bainbridge Island Cultural Element (1998). Director of the Washington Commission for the Humanities (1986-1994), a grantmaking and cultural services organization. Before that, executive secretary to the Montana State Board of Public Education and director of Montana Learning Services, a statewide education and career information system (1978-1986). From 1972 to 1978, director of eleven-county non-profit social-services agency providing services to the elderly in South Central Montana and administrator of continuing education programs in gerontology at Syracuse University (1976-1978). From 1961 to 1971, taught courses in writing and literature at the Universities of Nebraska and New Hampshire. Recipient BI Island Treasure Award (2004). Education.
