Laurance founded the International Student Film Festival in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1986. He also founded and managed Reel2Real Films and Flame Tree Media Trust in Tanzania. Laurance completed a five year/six film series focusing on poverty and development for UKAid in East Africa, and is currently working on an online study program, based on this series , called “Project Village Voices.” He is also currently working on creating a series of films about fathers and sons and rites of passage.
