Let’s Celebrate!
We’re Celebrating International Coworking Day
(which is actually August 9th, but that’s on a Sunday this year, so Friday August 7th it is!)
We’re Celebrating 15 years of Expats Coworking
(aka OfficeXpats, but after 15 years we rebranded. More about that here.)
We’re Celebrating a New Location
More about that here!
You are invited to stop by Expats Coworking (aka OfficeXpats) any time 9-5 ton Friday August 7th:
For a tour
To grab a desk and work for free. To get on to our Wi-Fi, just sign in at the front desk and get your access token.
To grab a burger or brat with us around noon. At other times various snacks will be out as well.
AND make your own dessert at our ice cream bar!
About our new location: after 15 years in the Pavilion, we now are in the building across the street, at 350 Madison Ave N. It's a beautiful building, a little bit hidden in the trees, so keep you eyes peeled for the driveway just north of Exotic Aquatics.
Not to miss when you are here:
* New phone booth rooms (shhhh)
* The rooftop deck, where the grilled edibles will be
* The octagon (a big "interesting" table with up to 8 places to work)
* The Tiger Den (a work in progress but I won't spoil it for you)
* We may still have a couple of private offices available, so ask us for a peek!
Also during our celebration (anytime that day) get a 50% discount on your first month of any membership (private offices not included). Use the code "Coworking".
More of us than ever work from home these days. But 50% of us—while grateful to avoid the commute—also feel lonely at least once per week. We can help with that. Or maybe it’s distractions at home that drag down productivity. We can help with that too.
It’s all free, 9am-5pm,
no RSVP needed
Just show up… we’ll sign you in and give a quick tour.
Grab a desk: any desk that doesn’t have a name on it.
Fiber Internet: Select the OfficeXpats Coworking network and use the Wi-Fi token COWORKING .
Coffee/tea is free, hot tea water is “on tap” at the sink. Find creamers in the fridge. If it is late afternoon and the pot is empty, you can make a single cup with the Keurig and a reusable filter. Coffee is organic shade-grown and fair trade from Grounds for Change, a B-Corp that got its start on the island.
Sodas and snacks are $1 on the honor system. The green fridge holds sodas; snacks and bars are behind the counter. Toss your dollar into the little black bowl tucked in with the snacks, or give cash to the ambassador if you need more change.
Printing: Once you are on the office Wi-Fi you should “see” our printers in the list. Feel free to ask for help.
Conference rooms: You may reserve a conference room at the public rate. If there are open rooms in the afternoon, you may check in with the ambassador at the front desk if it’s appropriate to use one for free.
Phone call etiquette: You may take phone or video calls at their desk; if someone is loud, it’s cool to signal that they should lower their voice. You can also wander to the community area, the kitchen tables, or just outside the office to take phone calls.
Kitchen etiquette: Please put dishes in the dishwasher unless it is running. Keep the sink clean and clear!
